Are there any plans to support MEMS 1.3?

I have a MINI SPI here with MEMS 1.3 (2 Plug) ECU doing nasty things..

what year is the Mini?

is there any possibility that you could post photos of the ECU and the diagnostic plug(s)?

ECU Looks like a MEMS 1.6 but with two plugs at the ECU instead of one and it has a different number - e.g. MNE10027E. Diagnostic plug is three pin SPI plug which is also used for the MEMS 1.6.

@Zone11: have you tried to use pscan with the MEMS1.3 in using the MEMS1.6 profile? I guess the welcome procdure between MEMS1.3 and MEMS1.6 should be the same. But then could be differences as for MEMS1.3 you´ll need a Microcheck (or a T* with Microcheck functions).

Its like Ismean alleady explained (thanks!) I know this 2 Port ECUs from the early SPi Minis without 5AS.
Let me check the year of the car with the documents.

I tried it with pscan MEMS 1.6 with no success. No communication with the ECU.

Unfortunately I don't have a microcheck or Tx to give it a try.
With a bit of luck I find my old French Facom Tester for SPi.

The Mini is a 1993 SPi
The ECU is MNE10097

If I can get access to a car or an ECU we can probably make it work.

Little update with a SUCCESS!

After fixing the loom, communication with MEMS 1.3 works now perfect!
My setup: MNE10097, ECU Identifier 38000305, no immobilizer
Tested functions: Live Data, Read Errors, Clear Errors

The only error code I can't delete is: 6: Fuel temperature sensor fault.
But the MINI isn't equipped with such a sensor, so no problem at all.

Hier Chris,

Did you just Used the MEMS1.6 profile to get access to the MEMS1.3?
My spare device is since yesterday in the post for Philip...
