I bought my latest 75 with the airbag light on. Pscan originally showed a nukber of SRS errors which I cleared to leave just the seat-belt tensioner.
After checking wiring and unplugging/plugging the connector Pscan shows no errors but the light is still on. I had the battery disconnected for 30 mins to see if that made a difference but it didn't.

Any ideas where the problem might lie? Pscan, airbag ECU ?

Geoff

The 75/ZT forum might be the better place to ask, but have you had a rummage around under both seats? A common failure point.

under seat connectors need cutting off and bullet connection's back together

Yes you have to do both seats

Thanks guys, I know about the 4 underseat connectors and the side impact sensors.
What I don't understand is why Pscan doesn't show a fault when the airbag light is on.

Sorry I have been travelling.

Is it a Temic or Autoliv ECU?

Is there any possibility of a wiring fault putting the light on? For example if the wire from the dash to the ECU is shorted to earth or something. I don't have a wiring diagram for a 75 but if anyone does then maybe I could figure out a way to test the light.

It's a Temic. If it was a short between light and ecu would the light be on all the time? The light goes off while it's doing a self test and then comes on. Not sure when I'll get chance to check the wiring. I'll report back when I do.

A T4 session showed that the Temic airbag system wasn't activated, that may have happened when the message centre was changed before I bought the car. A software reload by T4, and the airbag light is now off!! Time to book the MOT.
