Got the infernal SRS light on. My Pscan does not recognise the system. checked steering wheel cable continuity from air bag to connector under dash, all ok RAVE shows 4 items the seat belt pre tensioners are mounted on the B pillar area near where a back door would be. So non of these items are under any form of stress. No cables under the seats either Not happy about using an AVO to check circuit through air bags and pre tensioners in case they fire off. One question I really need to know is - will the SRS light go off once the fault is rectified or does it need to be reset by dedicated equipment ie testbook Regards Phil 825 coupe nightfire red.1998

I hope to remove the SRS module tomorrow. But after dooing a lot of internet research I may try to fool the Module by inserting 2.5 ohm resisters into the air bag/ pre tensioners plugs to see if this clears the fault. One more brainwave is to use an AVo on resistance but use a 20 ohm resister in series, therefore a sound air bag would read 22.5 ohms with next to no chance of fireing off the bags. i do know just how violent the bags go off .Re ford focus in 2016, a right off, but the wifes car. !!!!

Found the problem, LH pre tensioner open circuit. found it by disconnecting one of the 2 the plug/socket behind the clock assembly used an AVO with a 20 ohm resistor in series, I also checked the other connector and that read 22.5 ohms. As a temporary measure i wound 4 x 10 ohm resisters in parallel to get 2.5 ohms then put it in the plug. Connected the battery, turned the ingnition on, normal proceedure followed. I now need to pull the side panel off to further investgate the problem. for Phil, the Air bag module I did not remove, no need its pretty much buried in the lower dash. The part Number is YNE 100600 hope that helps.

Phil The only dia I have are from the 800 Rave disc. I'll take a look in the morning to see if it gives any pin outs.
