Hi There
i didn't find a post of a wish list for further functions of PSCAN...
The following functions are on my wish List: - function to reset the idle control for VVC Engines (MEMS 2) - Function to record live data to a CSV file - AS5 initialisation (pair existing ECU to new AS5 / pair existing AS5 to new ECU)
If there is already a wish List, please move post there...
Regards
Patrick
Edit: Praise forgotten, with PSCAN i found the following faults: - Stuck VVC mechanism - Defect Lambda Sensor (Oxygen Sensor)

It already does the 5as part.

The feature to put the MEMS 1.6, 1.9, 2J and 3 into "learning mode" (which is how you match an engine ECU to the 5AS) is something that we are working on and which looks acheivable.
We also have figured out how to get the MEMS ECUs to read the input status of the 5AS so that it will tell you correct EMS / wrong EMS / not signal etc.

Apologies, I thought you were at that stage already. Shame I don't live closer to you, could have probably helped you out with a bunch of it!

Resetting the idle valve (IACV) would be brilliant... Assuming of course at some point we can get a list of 'correct' values for the various engines.... Must be something from the MGR days with those values on.. Maybe a TestBook manual?

Hi Nigel
was easy, the opening / closing angle of the inlet-cams is one of the values in Pscan. with this values you can calculate the duration of the cam... O2-sensor voltage is also a value in Pscan, voltage was all over the place...

How about the Pektron fob units being programmable?

I've added an LE500 speedo pod to my '53 plate TF. It works a treat but I think being able to reset the oil service message would be cool - it basically comes up on the central LED when you first switch on - then dissapears in favour of the Water Temperature: I am going to plug my pscan in to the car tomorrow and see oif I can reset the SRS light in the lower left, as it never showed on the old pod.

Tried to see if the SRS could be reset but it shows an error code that keeps coming back

Hi, this is the error - the car is a '53 plate Pektron car if that makes any difference. Old pod there's no SRS light - new LE pod light is on. I have a spare LE pod and that is the same so it's not the pod I don't think?

The ECU has an output pin that drives the warning lamp. I would say that your pod is shorting the wire that goes to that pin. The picture below shows that pin 2 on the airbag ECU goes to one side of the bulb and the other side of the bulb is switched positive. Basically if you pull the connector off of the airbag ECU and short pin 2 of the connector then the airbag warning light should come on, but be careful because I suspect that something is shorting it to +12V, so maybe short it using a bulb instead of a wire.

I think it uses LEDs so less power.
Someone else on another MG forum says they plugged an LE pod into their non-chinese TF and it worked fine - so maybe I have an actual short somewhere that just happened when I swapped the pods.... I'll plug thre old pod in again and just check 100% tomorrow. Sigh!

The EMS code learning feature works on MEMS1.6, MEMS1.9, MEMS2J and MEMS3 ECUs. The EMS code is the code that the 5AS transmits when the immobiliser is disarmed. We have not yet implemented this feature on EMS2000 nor diesel ECUs. If you log into the 5AS you can also change the EMS code that it transmits. This can be useful if you have multiple cars because you can set them to all have the same EMS code and this allows you to swap ECUs between cars without having to relearn the EMS each time.
